LENA BENITA ("Isabella")
Lena Benita is a Black Creole Jamaican-American born in Kansas City, Missouri. At the age of 3 years old, all it had taken was seeing Jennifer Lopez in “Selena” and she made the decision in that moment to become an actress. Her parents nurtured this decision and in 2020 she made it to New York, attended The New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts and received her Associates in Film and Television. Alchemy of Solitude is her first film (not her last) and she is excited for the world to be taken on a thought provoking journey in this alternate reality. |
LEO KUBOTA ("Jacob")
Leo Kubota, has a wide range of artistic training including School of American Ballet in Lincoln Center as a Dancer, and HB Studios, Studio4, and Susan Batson Studios as an Actor. However, his upbringing as a NYC native has been an inextinguishable fuel to his creative growth. Actor credits include The Metropolitan Opera, Fox's Gotham, Virgin Atlantic Airways, and the Hip Hop Film Festival. He recently portrayed FBI Agent Marvosa Drake in the Feature Film "SPECTRUM" (2023). He's also grateful to have been pushed past his emotional limits, in a Leading role, as the activist turned assassin Jacob, in the Action-Drama feature "Alchemy of Solitude" (2023). For over a decade, Leo has worked as a Marketer in the Supplement and Nutrition industry. He has helped countless people with their various health inquiries while continuing his creative ventures. In 2018, Leo translated his experience as an Actor and Marketer to work behind the camera as a Freelance Videographer. Leo enjoys being able to emotionally and physically impact those who take interest in his many crafts. Jean-Patrick Simeon has several TV, film, theater, and commercial credits and most recently can be seen as Brother Peter in season 22 of Law & Order SVU. He is immensely grateful and honored to be a part of this extraordinary film helmed by the amazingly talented Viktoria-Isabella King. |
RACHAEL CHAU ("Kristina")
Rachael Chau (she/they, Kristina) is a proud child of immigrant families. She is a graduate of NYU Tisch Drama, where they studied at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting & Stonestreet Studios. RIVKA RIVERA ("The Boss")
Rivka Rivera (she/her) is an award-winning Jew-Yo-Rican actor, playwright, and filmmaker. Her work explores the intersection of grief, capitalism, and human behavior and seeks to highlight the complex nuances that make being alive so damn spectacular. As an actress, Rivka can be seen in films like “Firelight” (ABC/HALLMARK) opposite Cuba Gooding Jr., the Sci-Fi Cult Favorite “The Circle” (NETFLIX), and most recently Peter Hedge’s “The Same Storm.” She also stars in the viral web series “Abandon All Hope” which she produced. Rivka has performed at Pittsburgh Irish & Classical Theater, EST, Dixon Place, Irondale, LAByrinth Intensive Ensemble, and more. Rivka’s latest play THE MOURNERS about an estranged family forced together during Hurricane Maria was workshopped and awarded a NYFA/CITY CORPS Grant. As a filmmaker, her short about a real mushroom trip she took with her mother was featured in PAPER MAG. Rivka is a member of the Conch Shell Artist Collective for Caribbean Diaspora Writers and a proud alum of LaGuardia High School of the Performing Arts and Carnegie Mellon University. JAKE ROBERT ROBBINS ("A.D.")
Jake Robert Robbins is an actor. Jake has starred in over a dozen short films. Alchemy of Solitude is Jake’s feature film debut. Jake graduated from New York University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drama. He previously graduated from the Union County Academy for Performing Arts. Jake condemns the institutional racism in the United States of America. Jake supports a ban on automatic weapons. |
SONYA BALSARA ("Tori")
Sonya Balsara is currently playing Princess Jasmine in Aladdin on Broadway. Previously, she originated the role of Ali in the Broadway-bound stage adaptation lab of The Karate Kid, starred in a remount of Sense and Sensibility written by Tony-award nominee Paul Gordon, and played Maria in West Side Story in the international production in Tokyo. On screen, she has appeared in CBS’s FBI, Amazon Prime’s Mozart in the Jungle, and Boaz Yakin's feature film Boarding School. She spends her free time volunteering with NYC Parks, Broadway Cares Equity Fights AIDS, and Make-a-Wish Foundation. |
LEON MORGAN ("John John")
Leon is a classically trained actor from New York City. He was fortunate enough to study at the William Esper Studio, the Stella Adler Studio of Acting and with the Upright Citizen's Brigade. He has had the pleasure of performing the works of William Shakespeare, Eugene O'Neil, Anton Chekhov and Sam Shepard. Leon's talent spreads across regional and Off-Broadway theatre, Television, Film, as well as, some Norwegian commercials. |
LAWRIN GREEN ("Odes")
Lawrin Green is a New York-born, Carolina-raised actor, composer and singer-songwriter who holds degrees in Operatic Voice, Political Science, Arts in Teaching and is pursuing a Juris Doctor in Law. Operating strategically within the art world to inspire change, raise social awareness, and help others discover and heal their own social, spiritual and psychological wounds, Lawrin’s most recent work includes an Artist-in-Residence position in celebration of the grand opening of New York City’s Center for Art, Research and Alliance, and a historic performance as a member of the first African-American ensemble to perform at the Lincoln Center’s Mostly Mozart Festival. Lawrin is currently working to release a 2023 Christmas album, so be on the lookout for that!
