Viktoria I.V. King ( Director, Writer, Executive Producer)
Viktoria I.V. King is an acclaimed Award-Winning Multi-Ethnic Director, Writer and Producer known for her boundary-pushing artistry. She was a finalist for the 2019 ABC Discovers Showcase. Her films have been selected in over 50 international film festivals with over 20 awards being singled out as Best Director. She is also the President & CEO of Golden Royal Lion Films, LLC; a production company dedicated to bold & radical visual storytelling through film and events wrapped in narratives that expose hidden truths within society. Projects that she has also worked on as a Producer or 1st AD, etc... have premiered at notable film festivals such as Tribeca Film Festival (winning Audience Award), Pan African Film Festival, Asian American Film Festival, Cinequest Film & VR Film Festival, LA Short International Film Festival, etc.. to name a few. Viktoria's bold cinematic eye and pulse on emotional authenticity is greatly influenced by her international cultural background and her experiences as a world traveler. As a largely visual director, she focuses on narratives that tell the traumas and joys of connection through the lens of truth and social justice. She's served as a jury member for both the New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA)'s NYC Women's Fund for Media, Music and Theatre and the Women's Voices Now Film Festival. She also served as a producer for the Girls Voices Now short documentary "Domino Effect" which was selected for the 2022 Canadian Screen Award Qualifying Film Festival, Female Eye Film Festival. She was selected as a mentee of the Diverse Women in Media Forum Mentorship Program hosted by NALIP - National Association of Latino Independent Producers and as a Finalist for the Latino Lens Workshop Series. Her film, "Freeze Your Brain" commissioned by Visible Poetry Project has been accepted into two of the largest poetry film festivals in the world, Zebra Poetry Film Festival & the 9th International Video Poetry Film Festival. Her viral short documentary, "Black Lives MATTER" was a Daily Short Pick on Film Shortage.. Viktoria is also an accomplished theatre director; having directed and produced plays both in the US, UK and the Caribbean. Deante Gray (Director of Photography)
Deante' Gray, is a writer/director from Houston, Texas known for his stylistic balance of capturing empathetic realism in his stories. His photographic background enables a language of storytelling that's uniquely raw and poetic and serves to provide a uniquely new perspective on the black experience. His most recent accomplishment, was his film "Loving Byron" which has successfully been accepted to multiple film festivals; Including winning the Remi Award for Best Dramatic short at the 53rd Worldfest Houston International Film Festival. Daniel Cho is a Director of Photography based in New York/LA. As a DP, he has shot various short films, music videos, and commercial content, being highly adaptable to any sort of project. His work can be described as authentic and comprehensive in nature. His innate sensibility to find and draw inspiration from the pathos within each story allows him to create profound images. |
CATHY YE (Cinematographer)
Cathy Ye is a director of photography who specializes in portraying humanistic stories through an emotive, stylized lens. Her work investigates the perplexity of human psychology, and aims to inspire and expand daily perspective through creative image-making. Cathy’s work has played at Sundance, BFI, and Tribeca. As a first-generation Chinese-Canadian immigrant, Cathy grew up between Vancouver and Beijing, and is a polyglot of 4.5 languages. In her spare time, Cathy loves cooking and hosting, and believes the art of lighting is just like cooking - less is more. Cathy believes that cinema is a powerful psychological medium capable of building empathy and influencing change, and is passionate about mentorship and community building within the film industry. Cathy was recently selected for the ASC Vision Mentorship 2022-2023 program, launched by the American Society of Cinematographers, where she will learn under mentor, Patti Lee, ASC. |
